Timed Online Auction Events
When most people think of an online auction, they automatically think eBay. The folks at eBay have done a great job marketing themselves and introducing online bidding to the masses. Unfortunately for eBay, they have had their share of problems too.
While we'll still occasionaly post items on eBay, we have moved the majority of our timed online auction events to Proxibid, a company that provides internet auction services to licensed Auctioneers only.
Because only licensed auctioneers are allowed to conduct auctions on Proxibid, the bidders have more confidence when bidding . In addition, we have found it easier to build relationships with these online bidders, which in turn, gives us a loyal following of individuals who have dealt with and trust us.
Because of eBay, Auctioneers have access to a whole new kind of bidder. These bidders like the auction format, but prefer a more controlled environment in which to place their bids.
At Specialty Auctions, we have been conducting online auctions since 2004. We have the experience to successfully design and execute this type of auction. This experience allows us to determine in advance which items in a collection are prone to do better online. We are pleased to be offering this service to our customers.
